The physics

Light follows Schwarzschild geodesics. The disk begins at the innermost stable circular orbit, 6M. Its colour and brightness include Doppler beaming and gravitational redshift.

The star becomes ballistic debris. Disk collisions and elapsed time are simplified for the sequence.
